Expanding Women’s Economic Opportunity to Sustain Peace

Women have played a central role in rebuilding communities across the Bangsamoro following decades of conflict, yet many continue to face barriers to markets, finance, and economic opportunity. The Accelerate Bangsamoro program strengthens women’s entrepreneurship, financial opportunity, and market access while supporting more inclusive and resilient local economies.

Working with women entrepreneurs, former combatants, government institutions, civil society, and the private sector, the program combines enterprise development with stronger market systems, financial inclusion, and institutional partnerships. By strengthening women’s economic participation, the program contributes to both household prosperity and long-term peace and stability in Mindanao.
